Below you will find a few of our participant's personal stories, opinions and testimonials regarding the metabolic balance method and our online coaching program.

Dear Leonard,

Well, I’m down 40 pounds since January 12, 2011 and how easy it was, amazing!

Had my blood work done about 6 weeks ago and my doctor was shocked. Never mind

that, I was thrilled. Incredible what diet really means to our overall health not to

mention generally feeling better.

Initially, the diet took some getting used to and figuring out how to prepare the foods

permitted but once I got that down it was a home run all the way. There was also some

difficulty with my dinner timing since we normally sit down to dinner at 9pm!! I worked

around it and did my best. I never cheated. Never. April 22nd was the first time and it

was my birthday.

There were very few days when I was actually hungry. Maybe three. The water helped

me with the hunger when I had them. One of the best parts of this diet is that

you are eating normal, everyday food. So maintenance is easy.

You can also go out to lunch or dinner. I would take my food with me. I never had a

problem in any restaurant. I would simply tell them I was on a Special Diet and that was

that. You do have to plan ahead….all the time. If you don’t, and you’re hungry, you’ll cheat.

Plan ahead.

Len, you were key to my success. It was so easy just to pick up the phone or shoot you an

e-mail. It was incredibly helpful and any questions were quickly answered, suggestions

made on how to make the diet transition as easy as possible. You even have a list of recipes.

So much easier and much more convenient to have the phone and Internet connection and

not have to go to meetings. You were available any time and all the time.

Hello Leonard,

I'm sending an update on Rick's progress which I thought might interest you and the metabolic balance program. I believe I told you Rick lost 40lbs from the start of the diet January 17th to April 1st. He has since put back on about 5lbs but he still follows the program for the most part. He still does not eat rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, or sweets. We still try to stay to the five hours between meals although he does have a few nuts between sometimes or a piece of fruit.
A few days after starting the diet in January we noticed that his blood sugar was testing perfectly each morning and I suggested he stop the insulin shots until such time as his sugar tested over the limit which it never did again. He has not had an injection of insulin since about the 22nd of January, over a year now.
We just received our latest blood results from the doctor here and that is what I wanted to share with you. Rick has made dramatic improvement in his blood sugar and insulin resistant levels since this time last year. His blood sugar level is now in the normal range and his insulin resistance went from 20.9 to 3.4.
If you wish to have a copy of these tests I could fax them to you with a fax number. I don't know if this would be helpful to the metabolic program.
The doctor here said he has many diabetic patients and has never seen such results and especially considering Rick went off the insulin injections. He was amazed!

I've struggled with weight loss all my life. Fad diet after fad diet failed to get me healthy. I would lose weight sometimes, but then I plateau and gain all the weight back. Then in December of 2010 my Aunt in Germany told me about Metabolic Balance and what it does for people. I was very skeptical, but liked the idea of just eating regular foods and not having to do anything out of the ordinary, like take supplements or make special shakes. I got on the program and by the third day I felt like a completely different person. My mood was elevated, I had more energy and the pounds began to fall off. I lost 5 pounds the first week! My journey started when I met one my friends while traveling back to Germany. To my astonishment she had lost a lot of weight in a short period of time and seemed very happy and healthy.  She was in a diet program called Metabolic Balance.  While she was telling me about the program I started to think about my situation, ' I'm living in a small town in Texas what can I do?'  I decided to check immediately whether they have an online program. I received the answer a few hours later, after sending an email and telling my interest about Metabolic Balance. Yes,they have online program!!!! and they sent me a very detailed information about the program.


After we agreed on the conditions and steps ahead, they sent me an order for a very detailed blood test and I filled out a form regarding my current health profile.  Very detailed, yet easy to perform.

First five days of the diet (two days in first phase and then the second) wasn't so easy for me.  But after five days everything changed and I got used to my new eating habits.  The important point was, not only I was losing weight but also I felt a big difference in my energy level. Unbelievable but true,  I'm not starving, I'm more energetic and happy. I hadn't remembered the last time I felt my body like this.


Every week I sent my weekly progress report to my coach Len and he sent me his advices and some recipes. We worked during this period as a perfect team.  At the begining I thougt that second phase would last only for fourteen days but I was wrong. Second phase is the main phase. A small amount of new foods were added to the list in the third phase but I continued in second phase.  During this period when I had any question I had a quick response from Len and Mr. Pfieffer and the answers were very logical and scientific answers.

At the end I reached my goal and lost 48lbs.  I'm so healthy, happy, energetic and grateful. My blood tests results are now perfect!

I decided - I did my best - and I reached my goal.  It 's impossible not to believe in this program and if you believe in yourself  you should join and go on the metabolic balance program.

I am doing extremely well with the Metabolic Balance method.  I’m never hungry and I look forward to my meals that I find are surprisingly full of variety and good taste.  My impression is that I’m not on a diet.

What strikes me is that a while back, I tried to follow a vegetarian diet, which only allowed me to eat raw vegetables. This diet depressed me and I never reached my goals. Fortunately, metabolic is much different and my experience is much better.
About blood pressure, etc.: My blood pressure has decreased from 120/125 to 85/90. I am very content with this result because I had blood pressure of 140 or 145 over 100 when I weighed my heaviest. For now I am staying in phase 2. It is really great to feel as good as I do and I have become more physically active again.
Your coaching is perfect for me and my questions are always answered, I like the on-line coaching as I’m not the type of person who would go to regular meetings.

About the online counselling service:
This service is perfect for people who like to get things done via the Internet. In my case, it was a inconvenient to talk about going on a diet with my doctor because I hardly ever go to see him.  On-line made it much easier for me.
I feel very comfortable with this program. You are always interested in my results and whenever I have questions, I feel free to ask you and you answer them very quickly.

I am absolutely thrilled with this program – you don’t feel hungry at all - you are bursting with energy and the best thing about it is that I don’t have to keep thinking, “I’m hungry, but I can’t eat because I’m on a diet.”  It’s actually the other way round – I have to remember to eat every 5 hours. The new recipes are fun and easy to cook and taste great. Even my husband loves these meals and always insists on eating them with me. When I’m not at home, for lunchtime, I simply take my lunch – preferably something which does not necessarily have to be warmed up.  I don’t want to reheat it because the vitamins and the taste would be lost.  As explained, I do not have any problems with the food or eating on this diet.  I will certainly recommend the metabolic balance program to everyone!

I also think the online counselling is very good because I can ask anything at anytime and I always get the answers quickly. I’m not bound to a group, which would be difficult given that I usually have a sixteen-hour day. I am completely independent, yet there is always my coach there, who praises me for my success and pushes me (nicely) when I need it. As you can see, I’m fully content with you and your program.
